Question
i need help with this problem, 4x+7=2(x-3) how do i enter this into my scientific calculator i have a TI30xa. Join or Log In to answer.
With that model calculator there is no graphing funtion, so you're best bet is to solve by hand. Simply solve for X.
P.S. X = 6.5

4x+7=2(x-3)
4x+7=2x-6
4x-2x=-6-7
2x=-13
x=-6.5

On the right side of the =, distribute the 2 so that 4x+7=2x-6.
then subract 2x from both sides: 2x+7=-6. Then subract 7 from both sides: 2x=-13. Then divide both by 2
x=-6.5
