What happens when you plead not guilty and end up being guilty? Is it any different then pleading no contest? Will charges be the same? Thanks Join or Log In to answer.
municipal traffic court or like a superior court? we don't give legal advice here, but yea if you plead not guilty and go to trial and lose, that's bad... if you plead no contest you can also get bad sentencing..consult an attorney

I have a recovery partition on my dell that allows me to restore xp back to factory condition. But I upgraded to vista. I'm wondering if I can use norton ghost to create a ghost image of vista and replace it with the xp ghost on the recovery partition? Would it work? Thanks Join or Log In to answer.
Why would you replace it. Just keep the ghost copy
-modcom (59Q / 15647A) Wed Nov 5, 2008 2:21pm

Don't know if you'll get this, but there is a simple, free, *nix utility (called "dd")that will run from a live CD which can "ghost" your drive easily and quickly.

I got a new car radio deck installed by best buy and things are working fine, but at random times all speakers just stop playing but the deck is still on but antenna goes down. Best buy told me the cause is a blown speaker. I checked my speakers and ones not working. I want to know if the problems from speaker and not the deck. Can a blown speaker actually cause every other speaker to not function and cause my antenna to go back down? The deck has an equilizer and it shows It as musics still playing but no sound after I have it on for a while. Thanks full details is really aprectiated Join or Log In to answer.
It sounds like it may be a safety feature, to prevent damage to the output section of the radio.

maybe you can adjust your balance to get around the bad speaker? seems like it's overloading and causeing the radio to shut down

I have couple of wireless authorized devices using my network. I want to know the mac addresses of all these devices like the laptop, and portable stuff that use wifi. I know I can manually check but is there something I can download on my pc that scans my network and shows each device with it's information? Something like a wireless network scanning tool thanks Join or Log In to answer.
Your router should have the ability to tell you waht mac addresses are attanched. The Mac addresses are usually clearly marked on the devices as well

What are the requirments to work at a cell phone company like AT&T? How old do you have to be? Any skills required? Thanks Join or Log In to answer.
That depends on what position you're looking for. For sales in their stores you just have to be of working age for your state.
-if7ate9 (0Q / 207A) Fri Aug 29, 2008 3:48pm

u also have to know things about cell phones if ur going to be selling them.

I know you can get a system at Car Toys, and probably other similar stores. They are often connected to an alarm system.

My computer won't boot. What should I do? It boots to a boot menu screen, and I choose a mode like normal or safe mode, but it restarts it's self and goes back to same screen please help Join or Log In to answer.
One option should say something about disable automatic restart or something like that. Choose it and then it'll stop at a blue screen with an error, like STOP IRQ_ISFREAKING_BROKEN and a number starting with 0x_______

(To bigmike)
My guess from that tasty pic is either BIOS (not likely) or a bad video card/chip. Did you find a fix?
-astx813 (336Q / 522A) Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:24pm

(To astx813)
yea i think it was the motherboard, swapped in a couple of video cards and no response... she was old, thinking about building a new one
-bigmike (44Q / 5475A) Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:29pm

It sounds like your Master Boot Record is corrupted. Do you have your Win XP (I'm assuming here)setup disk that came with your pc?
-sgtralph (5Q / 518A) Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:17pm

Comments:
Don't know if I agree with you there, if it was an MBR or other partition issue, I don't think he'd get any boot menu, and it wouldn't reboot.
-astx813 (336Q / 522A) Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:23pm

(To astx813)
True. It could also be something as simple as a malfunctioning case fan. As soon as the CPU heats up,the mobo registers a "thermal event" (thats what DELL calls it) and multiple reboots happen.
-sgtralph (5Q / 518A) Mon Aug 18, 2008 7:29pm

Windows is toasted. You need to reinstall. If you need to save files off it first google "bartPE" then save to removable drive. Try "last known good configuration". You could try the repair option from winXP CD but reformat is best bet.

-Ahava (0Q / 701A) Sat Aug 16, 2008 11:04pm

This may not remain true for some states - Several states are protesting the Real ID act. By 2010, residents of states that do not comply will require federal passports for interstate travel.
-rivalarrival (100Q / 2430A) Sat Aug 16, 2008 11:20pm

Comments:
Most states have enacted resolutions opposing Real ID, however, federal legislators are attempting to force the issue.

You can google Real ID - Wikipedia has a good summary at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/REAL_ID_Act
-rivalarrival (100Q / 2430A) Sun Aug 17, 2008 12:05am

No, it is NOT needed for domestic travel, ONLY INTL, although they are pursuing it to be needed for both types of travel.
